The name is a way to recognize the typical food products that are not, for various reasons, other forms of protection. One way to tie a product to the place where it occurs and to give visibility to the work of small manufacturers in the area. The goal of the administration is to create a moment of identification of land and, over time, get to create a basket of typical products to be used for tourism purposes.

The regulation provides for the establishment of a register of the name and the typical products of area will have their mark. Each product or foodstuff will have a s u specification that establishes specific origin, composition and production method. The producers, to be entered on the register will have to apply in the municipality. A technical committee will monitor the requirements.

The first product of Vallarsa Deco will be the honey, a mountain wildflower. Then comes the turn of cheese, wine, herbs and traditional dishes.
